With it having been long been known that certain colours promote certain feelings – for example cool tones such as blues and greens are known to be calming – Primera is keen to highlight its new handle finishes.
The company said: “These finishes are as beautiful, stylish, and rich, as anything you’d find at home. For instance, we offer a gorgeous, polished-copper handle on an antique-bronze plate, and a striking black-chrome handle on a satin-black backplate.
“Adding colour and visual impact to a place where service-users wouldn’t necessarily want to be makes sense, even with something as simple as a door handle. When people feel at home and happy in their surroundings, they recover more quickly.”
Meanwhile, another recent addition to Primera Life’s product range – the 729G ‘slimline’ backplate, is designed to be easy to fit to a wide range of door types, with the laser cut plate ‘strong, and built to Primera’s usual excellent standards’. The company said: “The new backplate is gently curved, its shape complementing that of our trusted, anti-barricade Twin-Tech locksets.
When installed together, the overall effect is a softer, less-obtrusive appearance.” Future planned launches include new finishes and colours for the plates to match interior decoration schemes or existing fixtures.
