Manufacturer of products ‘ the protection of doors, people, and places’, Intastop, will show its new Secura Stop Multilock and ‘popular and acclaimed’ Door Top Alarm (pictured), which it says has been deployed by a number of UK Trusts as a suicide prevention measure, and also been adopted by facilities in the US.
Marketing manager, Marie Hanby, said: “We developed the system a couple of years ago in response to demand from customers who no longer wanted to alter the door or remove it altogether, since while patient privacy was paramount, safety could not be compromised. This resulted in engineering, testing, and ultimately development, of one of our most innovative products. We are delighted this has now been recognised as a trusted solution in mental healthcare facilities both here in the UK, and now also in the US.”
Also shown on will be the new Secura Stop Multilock, ‘a unique’ removable doorstop which provides just one secure point of operation, and permits ‘extremely quick access’ (in under five seconds) into a room in the event of a barricade situation.
