News of the successful re-location to Manchester of the Network’s 2024 conference and exhibition featured among topics discussed at the organisation’s ‘online’ 2024 AGM.
News of the success of the re-location to Manchester of the Network’s 2024 annual conference and exhibition, an update on the joint DiMHN / BRE Informed Choices product testing scheme, the potential for establishing a DIMHN offshoot in North America, and the planned publication of a special retrospective 10th anniversary Design With People in Mind booklet at the organisation’s 2025 conference this June, were among the topics discussed at the Design in Mental Health Network’s 2024 AGM, held online on 20 November last year. The Network’s editor, Jonathan Baillie, reports.
The meeting opened with a welcome from the DiMHN's Chair, Philip Ross, with all those 'on screen' briefly introducing themselves, detailing their professional role, and the role they play with the Network. Philip Ross then explained that the next formal agenda item was the Declaration of Interests — whereby any conflict of interests between Board members' and Associates' roles with the DiMHN and any other external positions was actively monitored and managed. There were no comments on this.
Agenda Item number 3 was to consider the Minutes of the 2023 meeting — which had also been held online — on 16 November 2023. Those present were asked to approve the Minutes as an accurate record, and there being no questions, a show of hands confirmed their unanimous approval.
