Mansfield Pollard, a specialist in in air management and acoustic control solutions, has added the ALX Modular Aluminium Enclosure to its product portfolio, explaining that ‘the market-first product’ is launched as it ‘redefines’ its acoustic control division ‘with a significant investment into its people, facilities, and service offerings.’
Designed as part of the continuous enhancement of its enclosures, containers, and acoustic control range, the ALX is claimed ‘to set a new benchmark in product quality and manufacturing excellence’. The company explained: “Featuring superior acoustic performance and an industry-leading strength-to-weight ratio, this innovation addresses the rising demand for efficient, cost-effective systems, and repositions the company as a key player in the power generation, data centre, and industrial applications sectors.”
Mansfield Pollard says the ALX enclosure ‘is set to redefine the market through a combination of lightweight construction, durability, and high acoustic performance’. Built with an anti-corrosive 60 mm aluminium alloy framework, it boasts a minimum tensile strength of 100 Mpa.
Manufactured entirely at the company’s 321,000 ft2 Bradford facility, each ALX unit is ‘fully bespoke’. Customisable options include full flatpack construction, weatherproofing, and an extensive choice of components such as attenuators and smoke detectors. The streamlined nature of the in-house manufacturing process reduces lead times, ensuring both efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Rob Hosker, head of Acoustics at Mansfield Pollard, said: “The ALX has been designed to meet the demands of key industries, including diesel and gas generator enclosures, and UPS systems. The launch reflects our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance enclosures built around our clients’ needs at a competitive price.”
Mansfield Pollard adds that the launch of ALX is ‘part of a wider transformation within the business’, marked by ‘state-of-the-art facility upgrades’ and team expansion, including recent hires to the acoustic control division. Recent investments include new 10 and five-tonne cranes, an advanced industrial spray booth, and enhanced welding capabilities, which the company explains ‘collectively enable the production of large-scale, technically demanding enclosures, with complexity and precision’.
